With Their Backs to the Storm

Most people don't see the writing on the wall. Throughout human history, people have ignored, denied, or pushed aside the "approaching storm" and only tried to explain its causes or predict its occurrence in retrospect.

The painting by the artist Becki literally illustrates what a situation looks like when we fail to notice the storm. As a result, we are unable to anticipate it, defend against it, and overcome it in a timely, clever, and appropriate manner.
