Meet the Artist | Beki Benado Pili
Created by 89-year-old Israeli artist and Holocaust survivor Beki Benado Pili. Painting from her studio in Israel to the rhythm of classical symphonies, Beki translates nine decades of resilience, faith, and wonder into vibrant, timeless art.
The unyielding rhythm of life in perpetual motion.
Ground your living space with the primal strength and enduring unity of the wild with this captivating fine art reproduction of an original oil painting by Beky, capturing the raw majesty of an African buffalo herd.
The Story & Artistic Inspiration
In an endless cycle of migration—driven by the perpetual search for sustenance and the instinct to outpace predators—the buffalo herd moves as a singular, unstoppable force. Embodied in the Latin concept of Perpetuum Mobile (perpetual motion), their relentless journey reflects the raw pulse of nature itself: eternal, resilient, and unbreakable.
Rendered from an original oil on canvas, this evocative piece commands attention through rich, atmospheric depth:
- Formidable Collective Presence: Layered silhouettes of the herd emerge from the mist, with curved horns, watchful gazes, and grounded stances projecting absolute solidarity and protective strength.
- Atmospheric Earth & Sky: Dramatic stormy skies in ethereal teal and moody moss-greens contrast against rich terracotta earth, ochre highlights, and the deep obsidian-brown coats of the buffalo.
- Sculptural Texture: Expressive, tactile brushstrokes capture the rugged mass of heavy muscle and weathered terrain, preserving the authentic physical impasto of the original oil layers.
